Storm Proxies vs Rayobyte

Rayobyte, formerly Blazing SEO, now sells datacenter, ISP, residential and mobile proxies, plus a scraping API. Storm Proxies kept its model simple: pick a number of threads, ports or proxies, pay a flat monthly price, and use as much bandwidth as you want. The real difference is how each one bills you.

Prices checked October 2026

Pick Storm Proxies if…

  • You want rotating datacenter IPs without counting gigabytes: 40 threads are $39/month, any traffic.
  • You want residential IPs on a fixed bill: 5 ports for $50/month from a 20M+ IP pool.
  • You want to pay by card or PayPal and start using the proxies as soon as it clears.
  • You need a handful of US dedicated IPs: 5 for $10/month, $2 per proxy.

Pick Rayobyte if…

  • You need static datacenter IPs outside the USA. Rayobyte sells them in 29 countries.
  • Your stack needs SOCKS5, or UDP on residential. Storm is HTTP(S) only.
  • You want city, ZIP or ASN targeting on residential IPs.
  • You want to test before paying: Rayobyte has a free trial on its self-serve products with no credit card.

Looking for a Rayobyte alternative?

If you’ve used Rayobyte since it was Blazing SEO, you’ve watched the catalog grow. Its rotating datacenter and residential proxies are billed per gigabyte. That works when traffic is steady. When a crawl doubles, the invoice grows with it.

Storm Proxies keeps the older, flatter model. You rent threads or ports, not data, and bandwidth is unlimited on every plan. The trade-off is coverage: Storm’s IPs are in the USA and EU, it has no SOCKS5, and it doesn’t offer ISP or mobile proxies.

Rotating datacenter: 500 GB in one month

Rotating datacenter IPs are where the two overlap most. Say your rank tracker or scraper moves 500 GB a month through them. Using Rayobyte’s self-serve pay-as-you-go rate and Storm’s plan prices:

Rayobyte rotating datacenter, 500 GB pay as you go$115$0.23/GB at the 351 to 1,000 GB tier. A busier month means a bigger bill.
Storm Proxies rotating, 40 threads$39/moUnlimited bandwidth. A 2 TB month costs the same $39.

Forty threads means forty parallel connections, each with a new IP on every request from a 700,000+ IP pool. Need more? 80 threads cost $59/month and 150 threads $97/month.

To be fair to Rayobyte, its sales team sets up monthly rotating datacenter plans that are very cheap per gigabyte: $100/month buys 7,600 GB. If you push several terabytes and can commit to a plan, that’s worth a look. Its datacenter IPs also come in more countries.

For static IPs, the numbers are close. Rayobyte’s US datacenter IPs start at $2.50 each a month. Storm’s private dedicated proxies are $2 each in a pack of 5, on a 1 Gbps network in Cheyenne, LA and New York.

From Blazing SEO to Rayobyte

Rayobyte began in 2015 as Blazing SEO and took its current name in 2022. Its lineup now runs from static datacenter and ISP IPs to several residential tiers, mobile proxies, a web unblocker and a scraping API. Each one has its own price list, and the rotating datacenter and residential lines bill by the gigabyte.

Storm Proxies covers a smaller set: rotating datacenter, rotating residential and private dedicated proxies. Every plan has a fixed monthly price and unlimited bandwidth. If your work is SEO tools, scraping or bots in the USA and EU, that’s often all you need.

Where Rayobyte is stronger

  • Static IPs in 29 countries. Storm’s dedicated proxies are US only.
  • More proxy types: static and rotating ISP, mobile, semi-dedicated IPs and a scraping API.
  • SOCKS support, plus UDP on Premium Residential. Storm sells HTTP(S) only.
  • Fine targeting on Premium Residential: country, city, ZIP and ASN.
  • Free trial on self-serve products, no card needed.
  • Very low per-GB rates on committed monthly plans arranged through sales.

Where Storm Proxies is stronger

  • No meter on rotating proxies. Rotating datacenter and residential plans both come with unlimited bandwidth.
  • Rotation tuned for SEO software. New IP per request, or hold one for 3 or 15 minutes, switchable in the member area.
  • Residential without a compliance gate or per-GB bill. 1 port for $19/month, live after payment.
  • Cheaper small static packs. 5 US dedicated proxies for $10/month.
  • Ready-made bundles for ticket sites, AIO Bot and social media accounts.

Who each one is best for

SEO tools

Scrapebox, GSA SER and similar tools hit a target with hundreds of requests. Storm’s rotating proxies give each one a new IP without a data bill, from $14/month for 10 threads.

Scraping at volume

For USA and EU targets, Storm’s flat residential ports keep cost fixed. For one city, or a country outside those regions, Rayobyte’s Premium Residential has the targeting.

Tickets and sneakers

Storm sells ticket-site residential, private ticket-site proxies and AIO Bot packs, set up for those sites.

Social accounts

For one stable IP per account, Storm’s Instagram and Facebook proxies start at 5 for $15/month. Rayobyte’s static ISP and mobile proxies are an option if you need those IP types.

FAQ

Storm Proxies vs Rayobyte: questions people ask

What’s the best Rayobyte alternative?

If you mainly use rotating datacenter or residential proxies in the USA or EU and don’t want per-GB billing, Storm Proxies is a close match: rotating threads from $14/month and residential ports from $19/month, all with unlimited bandwidth. If you need static IPs in many countries, SOCKS5 or mobile proxies, Rayobyte already sells all three.

Is Rayobyte the same as Blazing SEO?

Yes. Rayobyte’s own about page says Blazing SEO became Rayobyte in 2022. It’s the same company, founded in 2015.

Is Storm Proxies cheaper than Rayobyte?

For rotating proxies with heavy traffic, often yes. 500 GB on Rayobyte’s pay-as-you-go rotating datacenter rate is $115, while Storm’s 40 threads are $39/month with no data cap. Rayobyte’s committed monthly plans through sales can be cheaper per GB at very high volume.

Does Rayobyte have a free trial?

Rayobyte says every self-serve product has a free trial with no credit card, though static IPs are excluded. Storm skips the free trial and offers a 24-hour money-back guarantee on the smallest package of each type, first order only.

Does Storm Proxies support SOCKS5 like Rayobyte?

No. Every Storm plan is HTTP(S). If your software needs SOCKS, Rayobyte supports it.

How do I move my SEO tools from Rayobyte to Storm Proxies?

Buy a plan, add your server’s IP as the access IP in the member area, then replace the proxy list in your tool with Storm’s gateway IPs and ports. Rotation happens on our side.
